exhibition

Today we attended the exhibition in Morley Gallery. Milagros was cruel, she didn't let the lady from the gallery to speak.
We had to take photos of some pieces of art by the students of the college.
If I had an own home in London, I would find it interesting to buy art to my house from this gallery. The prices are sensible, I think I can say (bargain), because you can buy art from £55.

things make me happy

1. Sleeping after a tiring day. I think I don't really need to explain this. You worked hard, you are tired, and you just want to finish your day in your nice, and comfortable bed.

2. Music... inspires me and one song can completely describe my feelings.

3. I'm not an acoholist, but I enjoy drinking wine! This mug contains mulled wine, I drank in Weinviertel of Vienna, when I visited the city with my friends. I like sit down with my friends, drinking wine or champagne and talking about everything. And actually wine is healthy for your body in small amounts, and the honest friend conversations can heal your soul, so go for it guys!

4.
I am officially obsessed with clothes! I am addictive to buy them.

My aim is to have the biggest wardrobe in the world with the most stylish clothes.
I would buy some Mahnolo, and Choo, but I wouldn't wear them, because high heels are so uncomfortable for me.

5. I could't live without coffee. When I was a little child, I was wondering, why my mum loves to drink coffee. When I became 16, I understood and I have been being a coffee addiction. I must drink one mug every morning. (white coffee, without sugar)

6. My biggest dream is to love a big city close to the sea. Barcelona would be perfect, it is just a pity I can't speak any word in Spanish. I'm that kind of person whos mood is influenced by the weather, When it is hot, and shiny I'm happy, when it isn't just don't talk to me! (This picture was taken in Zadar, Croatia by my dad.)

7.
In my oppinion giving and reciving love make everybody happy. I got this heart from Avanya (a girl, whom I look after) on the first day, when I met her.

8. I really like sending postcards to my friends, but receiving postcards from thfem is bigger pleasure for me.
I feel when they send me one, they give me a piece of their mind as a gift.

9. I don't like when something is to clean, and tidy, and steril. I'm organised in my disorganisation. I just love the irregular fact, you can take pictures of rubbish such as melon, plastic fork, fag, chewing gum, in such magnificent towns, like Venice. You know there everything is all aboout sophistication, beautiful old buildings, and well, rubbish...

10. Maxwell and Avanya are my little devils. My job is to look after them. I can be really happy, when they don't blank me as usually, and they do as they are told to do by me. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen so often...

11. Breakfast is my favourite meal. Sometimes it's enough to eat a rich breakfast and just eat something light for dinner. Eaing is always good in good accompany. This photo was taken in a holiday with my friends in Italy. The weather was hot, we had plenty of time just for chill down, and eating as much delicious food as we can.

12. I enjoy everything about clothes, I am really happy when I get a fashion magazine. I like looking pictures of clothes, reading about trends, and catwalk shows. I think I would be very content if I worked for a fashion magazine. Who knows: Maybe I will be  the next Editor in Chief of Vogue...

being an au-pair

When I was 15, I went to an english teacher to learn more about the
language. My teacher used to work in Shefield as an au-pair, so she
gave me an idea to do this job. Living in London for a year after the
school-leaving exam became my dream. My parents, and my friends
thought this is just a silly dream, that I will forget as I do with
many other dreams of mine.
But no, I got into the university, but in spite of I knew I need a gap
year, so I started looking for an au-pair job in July. I wanted to
come to London, I registered on au-pair world.

That time I didn’t really know which is important to find a family, so
I didn’t really care things such as working hours, salary, paid
holiday, I just wanted to be in London.
As I started my job it wasn’t as easy as I expected.

In my dreams I idealized the english children. The future was
different as my dreams.
Naughty english children, who don’t listen to you, they are blanking
you all the time. Every day is a different fight with them. They think
you are their maid, who give us water when they’re thirsty. (My
question, why they can’t go to the kitchen to pour some water on their
cup?) My girl doesn’t want to bring her schoolbag. Once, I said to her
no more I bring your schoolbag, and she just started sulking, and she
left the bag int he middle of the pavement. She was able to walk 2
streets without her bag, so I needed to come back with them to pick it
up. Although they give up most of the love, you receive from the
family.

Don’t talk about the mothers. They want you to be grateful to work for
them. You need to clean their house as a cleaner, to iron the parents’
and the children’s clothes, do the laundry, washing the dishes etc…
If you make such a small mistake, like breaking a glass, they want to
talk to you, to be more careful, and not so clumsy.
In my oppinion, I do all the housework, so of course my percentage of
mistake is much more higher than her who rarely does anything.

If you stay at home on Sunday when they are home, she wants you to
pick the kids to the park. What can you say? Just; I am so  sorry, but
I will meet my friends soon, I gotta go. So better, if I just escape
from the whole weekend, before she wants me to work in my freetime.

The kids can’t watch telly with me, but when I came home from Central
London, she is just having a very important 2 hours long phone
conversation on the phone about X-factor upstairs, while the kids are
staring the telly stupidly with opened mouth for long hours
downstairs.

My favourite, when the rice cooker went wrong, she tried to blame on
me, I destroyed it because of my clumsiness. Sorry, but how I could do
it? Did I get my screwdriver and start to destroy the rice cooker with
it? No, my dear, your house and the machines are just old, and you
would need to know that things don’t last and work forever.

But of course, being an au-pair is just a 25 hour long easy job, you
are the part of the family,(because she asks you everyday How are you?
And how were the kids? Maybe she starts complaining about your job,
but to sum up that’s all your conversations) so have fun guys, and
good luck, maybe the problem is just with me! ;)

8/3/2011

International Women's Day (IWD) is on 8 March. First it was a socialist political celebration such as the Internation Workers' Day (1st May). Nowadays, IWD lost the political flavour, it's a nice occasion to show the respect to women's. Thes day gie us the opportunity to help and give support to the women of other regions, where they are not treated equally as men...

frida kahlo

If Frida lived now, she would be a celebrity.

She was a rebell, as her quotes show:
"I was born a bitch. I was born a painter."

Her life was complicated. After a bus accident as a teenager, her health wasn't the same. She has serious injuries, she couldn't move after 3 months the accidents. She lied in the bed, and her painting career started. Her parents supported her. She started to paint self-portraits. Kahlo once said, "I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best."
Her paintings were quite surreal, she said "I never painted dreams. I painted my own reality."

Her house shows her exciting personality.

Her love life wasn't average. She was bisexual, had affairs with both men and women, (in spite of she had a husband) including Josephine Baker. Her marriage wasn't well-balanced. His husband was the mexican painter Diego Rivera, who was a notorious womanizer. She cheated on Frida, with Frida's sister. SHAME ON YOU, DIEGO!
